OPENFIELD DENTAL / WEBSITE CONCEPT

A calmer first step
toward a dental visit.

A small-business website should help people understand the service, feel comfortable, and know what to do next. Openfield Dental explores that journey through a fictional practice.

SCOPE

Visual identity, content structure,
responsive website, interaction design

THE BRIEF

Make the first visit
easier to imagine.

For an independent practice, a website often makes the first introduction. This concept starts with the questions a new visitor might bring: What can you help with? What will a visit feel like? Where do I begin?

The design brings those answers together in a clear sequence, with an approachable tone and a consistent route to a sample appointment.

DESIGN DECISIONS

Clarity, from the first screen.

01

A welcoming introduction

Warm ivory, forest green, restrained typography, and an imagined reception space establish a calm visual direction and keep attention on the services and visitor journey.

02

Answers in a useful order

Service summaries, the practice approach, first-visit information, and expandable FAQs help a visitor move from an initial impression to a more informed next step.

03

A next step you can try

The appointment preview lets visitors choose a visit type, sample date and time, and reminder preference. Clear feedback shows how those choices fit together.

BUILT TO EXPLORE

Useful on a phone.
Easy to understand.

The layout adapts to desktop and mobile screens. The navigation, expandable content, and appointment dialog were checked in the browser, including a 390-pixel mobile view.

  • Expandable preventive, restorative, and cosmetic service details
  • First-visit information and frequently asked questions
  • Sample appointment choices, reminder preview, and reset
  • Clear labels, keyboard focus, and a mobile layout without horizontal overflow

MY ROLE & PROCESS

Human direction.
AI-assisted execution.

I shaped the brief, visual direction, and content priorities, then directed revisions and reviewed the experience with ChatGPT and OpenAI Codex. The work combined content organization, visual judgment, interaction planning, troubleshooting, and browser testing.

The demo uses HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with AI-generated concept imagery. It shows a practical approach to taking an idea through design, implementation, and review.

What this demonstrates: a working website concept, not a commissioned dental practice or a measured business result. The practice and sample visitor are fictional. No patient information is collected, and no real appointment, reminder, or payment is sent.

YOUR BUSINESS, YOUR NEXT STEP

website make easier?

Whether you run a professional practice or another small business, we can start with your audience, your services, and the action you want visitors to take.
